Spiritual Healing
Question:
My cousin has been married for six years. For the
first two years, marital relations were harmonious, after which severe
estrangement emerged. The couple resides within our joint family home. We have
exhausted diverse efforts to reconcile them, yet without success. Favor us with
your counsel.
Answer:
Paint the interior walls and ceiling of the bedroom
occupied by the couple in a bright, lustrous paint. If this is not feasible,
install sky-blue curtains across all doors and windows, and keep a soft
azure-blue bulb illuminated inside the bedroom throughout the night. Within one
month of this environmental chromotherapy, marital harmony will normalize.
Question:
I present my plight before you in extreme distress and
helplessness. My in-laws perpetrated a grave deception against our family;
their outward piety proved entirely at odds with their inner reality. Prior to
the marriage, my relatives were barred from meeting my prospective husband,
preventing us from evaluating his mental stability. Following the wedding, the
truth emerged: my husband is mentally deranged, intensely suspicious,
eccentric, and insatiably greedy.
Furthermore, it had been explicitly agreed beforehand
that since I am an orphan, extensive dowry could not be provided, to which my
in-laws originally consented, professing disinterest in worldly goods. Yet
following the wedding, aggressive dowry demands erupted. The greatest
catastrophe, however, was discovering that my husband is embroiled in an
ongoing lawsuit with his former wife. To finance his legal expenses, my in-laws
began extorting cash from us. When we demonstrated financial incapacity, their
harassment intensified.
Matters reached the point where we pleaded for
divorce, declaring that we would renounce my deferred bridal dower (mahr)
and forfeit all dowry items already given, asking only for deliverance from
their malice. When all efforts at mutual understanding collapsed, I was
compelled to file for judicial dissolution of marriage (khul‘). We dread
their retaliatory harm. For the sake of God and His Messenger (peace and
blessings be upon him), impart an efficacious spiritual litany ensuring that
the court’s verdict is decided in my favor.
Answer:
Every night following the completion of the Isha
prayer, recite the Āyah Karīmah (the supplication of Jonah):
Lā ilāha illā Anta
subḥānaka innī kuntu min
aẓ-ẓālimīn
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا
أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
100 times, preceded and concluded by eleven
recitations of Durood Sharif. You will be granted victory in your legal
petition, God willing.
