Past midnight, while your husband is in deep slumber,
perform ritual ablution (wuḍū’). Stand barefoot
upon bare ground or floor beneath the open sky, rest both hands upon your head,
and close your eyes. Recite Ar-Raḥmānu ar-Raḥīm (الرَّحْمٰنُ
الرَّحِیْمُ) 103 times, return to bed, and drift into slumber while visualizing
your husband's devotion.
To determine the tally of 103 without holding prayer
beads, time the recitation once beforehand by the clock and continue reciting
for that estimated duration; a slight variation in count bears no adverse
effect. The duration of this spiritual operation is forty consecutive days.
