You instructed me to practice the "Blue Light
Meditation." I have been doing it for fifteen days now; I have not
achieved any extraordinary spiritual breakthrough, yet during the meditation, I
experience immense tranquility and wish to remain seated indefinitely. I sit
for fifteen to twenty minutes, for as long as I can comfortably sustain it. The
Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the source of mercy for all
creation, yet one point continuously perplexes me: according to your writings,
hundreds of inhabited planets exist across the cosmos. Was the Holy Prophet
sent as a messenger exclusively to our Earth, or was he manifested at different
intervals for the inhabitants of other planets as well? I am a science
student—perhaps not a very proficient one—because we learn that outer space is
a vacuum, devoid of solid substance. Agriculture requires soil; yet I read that
Russian scientists are conducting farming experiments in space. How is this
feasible?
Answer:
In this modern era, despite possessing every
material convenience, people remain entirely deprived of inner peace. That you
experience tranquility in meditation is your very first milestone of success.
Continue your practice with strict regularity; God willing, the inward eye of
perception shall open.
According to the divine declaration of Allah
Almighty, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) is Raḥmatun lil-‘Ālamīn (A Mercy Unto All the Worlds), while Allah
Almighty affirms Himself as Rabb al-‘Ālamīn (The Lord and Sustainer of
All the Worlds). Sustaining lordship (Rubūbiyyah) is an attribute of
God, just as universal mercy (Raḥmah) is an attribute. In the exact manner that Allah
Almighty is omnipresent across existence through His divine attribute of
Sustenance, safeguarding and nourishing every created entity, so too is the
Master of the Cosmos (peace and blessings be upon him)—the very purpose behind
creation—present throughout all realms through the bestowal of divine mercy,
serving as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) unto all existing
worlds.
Space is not a mere void of nonexistence. In
reality, "space" is designated as that threshold from which mortal
gaze returns unfulfilled. Life and created forms inhabit every realm;
atmospheric air is itself an order of creation. The jinn are likewise a species
of creation. The physical existence and subsistence of any creature enter
discourse only when there is spatial locality (Makān). Jinn dwell upon
our terrestrial realm, just as atmospheric forces abide within cosmic space.
