Now, after two and a half years of exhaustive interventions, the specialist announced: "We have exhausted every available medical therapy; the volume of protein wasted in her urine remains unchanged, rendering further treatment futile. Revisit us in two to three months; perhaps a new compound will have emerged. Ordinarily, renal pus is aspirated only once, yet we have drained hers twice." Our widowed mother is utterly brokenhearted. Formerly possessing vibrant health, my sister now exhausts herself climbing a few steps, complaining of debilitating vertigo following minor physical exertion. Kindly prescribe a healing regimen.

Answer:

Cut two square pieces measuring two-by-two inches from a sheet of elemental metallic lead (Sīsah), ensuring the plate is not excessively thick. Have the prescribed spiritual inscription engraved onto both metal plates, and secure them directly over the anatomical location of both kidneys using a fabric waistband.

The practical arrangement is as follows: have a supportive fabric girdle tailored with twin pockets positioned over the lumbar renal regions. Place the inscribed lead plates within these pockets, ensuring the interior lining is crafted from fine, permeable muslin so that the metallic plates remain in continuous direct contact with the skin.

At times she insists a female demonic entity (chuṛail) clings to her flesh; at other times she asserts an incorporeal jinn has possessed her interior being. She persistently vocalizes the names of various mendicants and mystics, claiming: "Such a saint visited today; such a dervish will arrive shortly."

Our greatest distress is that in the pre-dawn hours prior to sunrise, she frequently slips out of her bedchamber unnoticed and wanders away, requiring frantic efforts to locate and retrieve her. I have witnessed this pathology since my early youth. For the sake of God, explain what this affliction is.

Answer:

Your respected mother undertook the recitation of an intensive spiritual litany (waẓīfah) in the past without adept spiritual supervision. A severe esoteric backfire and energetic recoil (raj‘at) occurred, which was never clinically or spiritually remediated at the time. This unaddressed imbalance is the sole root of her illness. My sincere prayer is that Allah Almighty grants her complete restoration and health. Amen.
