Severe Situational Depression & Suicidal Ideation- Possession and Despair

 Question:

A relentless turmoil reigns in our house. The persistent quarreling between my father and mother has become an unendurable torment. Their bitter clashes, taunts, and acrimony seem destined to conclude in nothing short of separation. My heart urges me to end my own life before beholding that tragic culmination. Robbed of inner peace, I have fallen into severe financial distress. The crushing burden of debt has ensnared me in exhausting mental anguish and turmoil, while the urge to seek oblivion in alcohol persistently tempts me. From this harrowing state, you can discern how insidiously demonic despair has invaded my soul. I must mention that I worked arduous jobs to put myself through education, yet life’s misfortunes have always greeted me. Please favor me with an effective remedy.

Answer:

Offer the Isha prayer. Upon completing the prayer, sit in a quiet corner and close your eyes. Turn your entire being toward Allah Almighty. At that moment, let the inward realization grow as deep as possible that you stand entirely alone in the presence of Allah Almighty, with none beside you save Him.

Now, from the depths of your consciousness, plead before Allah: "These are my tribulations—grant me immediate deliverance from them." Bring to mind each distress—your debts, business instability, health concerns, constricted circumstances, family conflicts, lack of decisiveness, emotional disquiet, and restlessness. Holding all these matters firmly before your mind, supplicate earnestly for their urgent resolution. God willing, within a week at most, divine assistance from the Unseen will begin paving pathways of ease for you.
