Clinical / Psychosomatic Evaluation)-A Virtuous and Beautiful Bride

 Question:

I had my son married earlier this year. For a few days, he lived harmoniously with his wife, but suddenly his behavior shifted entirely. He has ceased speaking to her altogether and bars her from entering his bedchamber. My daughter-in-law is utterly devastated by his withdrawal and weeps incessantly. I feel deeply humiliated before her family. My son has even threatened her with divorce, though she is exceptionally virtuous, beautiful, and young. I earnestly desire that love for his wife awakens in his heart so that both may lead a joyous married life. Kindly impart a spiritual practice to attain this harmony; my daughter-in-law's grief is unendurable for me to witness.

Answer:

Instruct your daughter-in-law to rise very early in the morning and sit on an open terrace facing east. Just as the sun is about to dawn—she must ascertain the exact minute of sunrise beforehand—let her fix her open gaze across the horizon. She should refrain from blinking for one full minute. Immediately after this minute, let her recite Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm once and Durood Sharif eleven times, blowing upon a bowl of water that she has placed before her in a white porcelain dish. Have her administer this water to her husband to drink. Through this twenty-one-day regimen, if Allah wills, husband and wife will enjoy deep marital affection. Upon its successful completion, feed eleven deserving persons in the way of Allah.
