Severe Hair Loss, Despair, and Alopecia

 Question:

I have grown profoundly despondent with life. There was a time when I offered my daily prayers with regular devotion; now, I pray only intermittently. I do not even bring myself to supplicate, wondering how my prayers could ever be granted. For girls of ordinary countenance, this world is nothing short of an ordeal. Once, I used to pray for blessings; now, I ask only for death. I lack the courage to commit suicide, so I must go on living so long as God wills. There are many tribulations, yet I mention only one problem that robs me of sleep through the night and makes me shrink away from facing anyone. Up until about two years ago, my hair was perfectly healthy; then, it began falling out. The hair along my front hairline thinned so drastically that circular bald patches began forming on my scalp. A person can conceal internal ailments from others, never letting them show; but how do I hide this? As I pen this letter, tears fill my eyes. Today, for the first time, I lay bare my sorrow before you. For young women, small physical imperfections turn into a torment. In the eyes of this world, I am already full of shortcomings.

Answer:

Recite Surah Al-Layl three times over egg oil (Roghan-e-Baiza-e-Murgh), blow upon it, and gently massage it onto the alopecia patches with your fingertip. Continue this practice until the affliction is completely eradicated. Do not wash your hair with soap; wash your scalp using a gentle quality shampoo, Indian gooseberry (Amla), or gram flour (Besan).
