Question:
The issue is that our father does not love our mother at all, nor does he show
affection towards all of us, his children. Whenever he looks at other women,
his eyes show a noticeable attraction. He always remains cheerful outside, but
as soon as he comes home, he immediately becomes angry. He treats both of our
brothers like enemies and looks at them with hostility, as if he could harm
them.
He is not at all
regular in offering prayers. Please tell us a prayer through which our father
may completely reform himself, treat all family members with love, and become
regular in offering prayers.
Answer:
Before going to sleep at night, your mother should recite Durood Sharif eleven
times at the beginning and eleven times at the end, and recite the complete
Surah Al-Ikhlas forty-one times. Without speaking afterwards, she should go to
bed. She should close her eyes and fall asleep while visualizing her husband.
The duration of this
practice is forty days. In the morning, before eating or drinking anything, she
should recite Yā Wadūd once over water or tea, blow upon it, and give it
to him to drink.
