Question:
During my initial pregnancy after marriage, chronic
catarrh and continuous epiphora (watery eyes) seized me. Consequently, my right
nostril became obstructed, and a hardened, palpable nodule formed at the medial
canthus of my right eye, causing severe periorbital edema and an unsightly
protrusion. Treatments brought no relief. Following the birth of my daughter,
the obstruction persisted; radiographic imaging revealed severe hypertrophic
nasal polyps, for which surgical resection was performed.
Yet even following surgery, the nasal airway failed to
open, progressing until both nostrils became chronically obstructed. I can
neither discern scents nor draw nasal breath; breathing solely through my mouth
induces intense exhaustion, my vocal timbre has deteriorated, and fluid
continues to drain from my eyes. Impart an efficacious spiritual remedy.
Answer:
Dissolve natural rock salt into lukewarm water and
draw it deeply into your nostrils from cupped palms until the saline wash
reaches the upper sinuses beneath the brow. Repeat this nasal irrigation twice
daily—at noon and in the evening—for several consecutive days. Strictly abstain
from sour, chilled, and flatulent nourishment.
