Recite the Quranic verse:
Qulnā yā-nāru kūnī bardan wa-salāmā (Surah Al-Anbiya,
21:69)
قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ
كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا
(We said: O fire! Be coolness and peace)
once over beverages—such as water, milk, tea, or
syrups—and administer it to your brother to drink. This spiritual intervention
will turn his cognitive impulses away from the intoxication. Concurrently, when
this aversion takes root, ensure that he exercises his own conscious willpower
and resolve never to embrace the vice again.
